My Story
This March, I’ll be walking 55 miles with some of my colleagues at Rivervale to raise money for the Field Studies Council. It’s a tough challenge, but one I’m determined to complete—not just for myself, but for young people who deserve the chance to connect with nature.
Outdoor learning experiences should be part of every child’s education, but for many, they’re simply out of reach. Schools and parents are struggling to cover the costs, and those who would benefit the most are often the ones missing out. That’s why I’m taking on this challenge—to help give disadvantaged young people access to the outdoors, where they can learn, explore, and build a connection with the natural world.
- £35 covers the cost of a day trip for one young person
- £225 funds a two-night residential trip for one young person
As Rivervale is a proud partner of the Field Studies Council, this cause is close to my heart. Over the last few months, I’ve been on my own fitness and wellbeing journey, pushing myself to build healthier habits and improve my lifestyle. Taking on this 55-mile walk is not only a personal milestone, but a chance to give back—helping young people experience the outdoors in a way that could shape their future.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, you’ll be making a real difference. Together, we can help more young people get outside, learn about nature, and create memories that last a lifetime.
